Join us for 10 days exploring the beauty of Western Hungary and Slovakia!
This tour will start and end in Budapest, Hungary.

Come. See for yourself!

The best way to understand Hungarian heritage and culture is to visit and learn from our experienced and knowledgeable guides as well as those who live locally. Our tours are carefully created to ensure participants leave with a greater understanding of Hungary and her people. Our family sized groups allow us to visit special venues not readily available to the average tour group. Most of our participants have Hungarian ancestry.

This tour starts and ends in Budapest, Hungary. Please plan to be in Budapest no later than Saturday, June 3rd! If you would like to add days either before or after the tour and need assistance making those arrangements, we are happy to do that and can include it on your invoice.

All Magyar Living Tours include:

  • Airport transportation in Budapest
  • Lodging in comfortable hotels
  • 2 meals each full day
  • Ground transportation
  • Full-time bilingual tour guide
  • Time in the countryside
  • Folk art experiences
  • All entrance fees to activities
  • Cooking experiences
  • Cultural connections
  • Optional add-on excursions
  • Enjoyable atmosphere

We will visit historical sights (palaces, medieval castles, churches) and learn about the history of various time periods of this region of Hungary and former Hungary. We’ll have a close look at several important folk traditions and participate in a cooking workshop. We’ll experience the spa culture the region is so famous for. We’ll taste special foods, wines, and beers from the area and learn about the historical significance of the former Hungarian coronation town, Pozsony, now called Bratislava and in Slovakia.

Our tours typically require moderate physical effort and a bit of independence as well as a sense of adventure. If you have special considerations, please indicate them on your registration form. Knowledge of the Hungarian language is useful but not required. A more complete day-to-day itinerary will be released 60 days prior to departure.

Registration is limited! Typical tour size: 12 participants
$4200 per person, double occupancy. Single supplement $500
$2000 deposit required.

Our tours require moderate physical effort and mental independence. Knowledge of the Hungarian language is useful but not required.
